Description:

Dr Robert Simons is a senior clinician with more than four decades of medical experience and a longstanding focus on musculoskeletal, integrative, and regenerative medicine. After completing his medical degree at the University of Cape Town in 1976, Dr Simons developed a deep professional interest in how the body’s own biological processes can be used to support musculoskeletal repair. He was introduced to prolotherapy in 1997 and pursued advanced training over many years, later expanding his practice to include Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), Conditioned Serum, and Concentrated Growth Factors as part of a non-surgical, tissue-directed approach to care. From 2005, he also undertook further education and collaborative work in stem-cell–related therapies with clinicians in Asia, Europe, and the United States. Dr Simons is regarded as an early adopter of regenerative techniques in Western Australia and has worked with a broad spectrum of patients, ranging from older individuals with degenerative conditions to high-performance athletes. His clinical philosophy centres on understanding and supporting the body’s inherent capacity for repair. His personal and professional interest in blood-filtration science led him to undertake further study in INUSpheresis®. This experience ultimately informed the establishment of Inuspheresis Perth, where the procedure is delivered under clinical supervision by trained healthcare professionals.
